8 Hours Of Labor

The 8 Hours of Labor is back for 2010 and is being hosted by Homestake Lodge and Triple Ring Productions on Homestake Pass near Butte, MT. Racers may either compete as individuals or in teams of any size. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd men and women in the solo category and 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the two person relay category. After the event there will be a lasagna and chili feed with music. Each lap is approximately 7 miles in length. Terrain is a combination of logging roads, trails, and single track suitable for most riders. Last lap must begin prior to 5:00 PM Saturday.

Entry Fees: Advance registration is $40.00 per solo rider, $70 for a team of 2, $95 for team of 3, and $120 for teams of 4 (registrations must be received by Friday September 4). Same day registration is $10 more per racer. Additional meal tickets are $8 (1 meal ticket included with each race entry). Beds may be reserved at Homestake Lodge for Friday and Saturday nights at $20/bed/night, camping is available for $10/tent/night.

Directions: Get off I-90 at Exit 233 Homestake Pass just east of Butte, MT and head to the south side of the highway overpass. Forest Service Road 240 begins at the cattle guard. Drive 3 miles and look for the Homestake Lodge Entry on the right after the power lines.
