Hi, this is Bob Waggoner. I created TripleRing Productions and along with my wife Gwen, co-owner Guy Vesco, event director and new partner Gina Evans we plan to bring an element of cycling that I really enjoy to Butte and Southwest Montana.TripleRing Productions is a tax-exempt, 501c3 non-profit educational association. Donations to TripleRing Productions are generally tax deductible. TRP's tax identification number is 27-1221289.
Presently Montana has a pretty good Mountain bike and Road bike racing series, but not much in the way of endurance Mountain bike racing. My goal is to change that. I have spent the last ten years racing 24 hour events in the US and Canada, I'm looking at bringing that to Montana as well as 100 mile endurance racing.
This site is designed to make contributing information as easy as possible – please make comments. I'm keen to get in touch with anyone who might be able to help add new content or edit/ update material.
Elevation Gain on the 50
Hey Bob, Guy and Gina,
So... what was our total elevation gain on the Butte 50 with the addition of Long Beaver Ponds?
It was fun. thanks again!

62 Elevation Gain
With the scenic beaver pond side trip (Yay, Butte Metric Century!), my Garmin 500 had just shy of 9,300 feet of gain. That included the "Mini Repeat Loop" that nearly took us back down into the Warren Heights housing subdivision, so we could re-climb that short portion of trail that preceded the confusing intersection leading to the Beaver Ponds, also.

Thanks for the elevation with the additional loop
I was wondering about that. No wonder I am still tired!
Thanks for comments
Hi Everyone-
We at TRP are already working on next years race and recruiting folks. We will be having a meeting within the month and getting people set as Chairs of key parts of the race. In a perfect world, my dream of having it set as it was when I worked for a National Non Prof. as Event Coordinator will take place. We will get the course issues ironed out and have plenty of volunteers (which has always been tough w B100).
Again all comments are welcome and each of us at TRP enjoyed having you in Butte for the race. Tinker told us as bob and I were dropping him off to fly home'"Butte 100 route is his favorite" he will be back again next year.
Thanks,
Gina

Lost Camera
There was a digital camera left at Aid Station #7 (Highland Campground). I believe it belonged to one of the spectators that was around on race day. Send me an e-mail at cbr.ryan@gmail.com identifying it, and I'll arrange for its return.
